The cryptocurrency industry continues to blur the lines between digital and traditional finance, and fresh data clearly confirms this. The multi-asset trading platform BingX has announced that it has taken the top spot in the liquidity ranking for perpetual futures on TradFi assets. This refers to a wide range of globally traded instruments, from commodities to shares of tech giants.
During a comparative analysis of order book depth on leading trading venues, my colleagues from BingX's analytics department identified a significant advantage for the platform across key asset categories. The results are impressive: BingX provides traders not just access to the market, but the ability to execute trades as market conditions shift without slippage, which is critical in times of high volatility.
Key liquidity metrics
The most telling data came from three groups of TradFi instruments:
- Commodities: For gold, silver, WTI and Brent oil, the order book depth on BingX is on average 1.6 times higher than that of the closest competitor. This applies to ranges of 10, 50, and 100 basis points from the current price.
- Tech company stocks: Amid growing interest in AI and semiconductors, BingX offers deep liquidity in Alphabet (GOOGL), Broadcom (AVGO), SK Hynix, and Intel (INTC) shares. Here, the average order book depth turned out to be 1.7 times greater than on the platform that took second place.
- Shares of leading global corporations: For names such as Apple (AAPL), SpaceX (SPCX), and Tesla (TSLA), the platform's advantage is even more pronounced—order book depth is 2.2 times higher compared to the competitor.
In total, the platform offers more than 500 perpetual futures on traditional assets, including indices, currencies, and commodities. The scale of the offering and the depth of liquidity allow users to diversify portfolios without leaving a single trading environment.
As BingX Chief Strategy Officer Kevin Lee noted, liquidity is not just numbers in the order book, but the foundation for effective trader performance. When opportunities move between asset classes, having the infrastructure for instant trade execution becomes a decisive factor. BingX intends to continue expanding its line of TradFi instruments, strengthening its positions in key markets.
My comment: BingX's dominance in this segment is a natural outcome of its strategy to merge crypto and traditional markets. While most exchanges focus exclusively on digital assets, BingX is betting on integration, which attracts institutional players seeking a single entry point. In the long term, it is precisely such platforms that will determine how retail and professional traders interact with global markets.
