Google has entered into a strategic multi-year agreement with Beast Industries — the company behind the most popular YouTube channel in the world. Starting September 5, the AI assistant Gemini and the Google Health platform will become part of the content of Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast. This is not just a sponsorship deal, but an ambitious bet on integrating artificial intelligence into mainstream culture.
AI in Extreme Conditions
In the new show, participants will have to survive in the jungle, desert, and Arctic, with Gemini acting as a digital companion — helping to spot threats, predict sudden weather changes, and make decisions in critical situations. Beast Industries CEO Jeff Housenbold emphasizes that AI here is not a replacement for creativity, but a tool to expand it and scale the business.
Donaldson, who was the first on YouTube to surpass the 500 million subscriber mark, opens a direct channel for Google to a multi-million audience. In turn, the corporation gains a unique opportunity to promote its consumer AI services in a format that truly engages viewers. As part of the campaign, a release is also planned where MrBeast will demonstrate how he plans stunts through the Gemini app, and the new Fitbit Air product will appear in one of the upcoming episodes.
Where AI Really Works
Housenbold clearly defined the boundaries: "Content is not made with AI." All scripts, filming, and editing are exclusively the work of real people. Gemini is used at the stages of generating and validating ideas — for example, when discussing how to technically execute the next dangerous stunt. This is much more modest than it might seem at first glance, but it is precisely this approach that builds trust with the audience.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the parties, but Housenbold confirmed that the agreement was reached directly with Google CEO Sundar Pichai. This speaks to the high level of significance of the partnership for both sides.
My take: This is a landmark precedent — the world's largest creator is not just advertising AI, but integrating it into storytelling. For the market, this is a signal: AI is becoming an integral part of content production, but only where it truly adds value, rather than replacing human talent. The crypto industry should take note — collaborations like this set the trend for "human-centric" AI, which could form the foundation of future decentralized platforms.
