The cryptocurrency exchange OKX, together with the analytical platform TradingView, presents the large-scale trading tournament "Race for a Million x2". This is not just another competition for traders, but a strategically structured contest that combines two different asset classes — digital currencies and tokenized stocks. The total prize pool exceeds 1,000,000 USDT, which automatically attracts the attention of both professional players and active retail speculators.

Tournament structure and key dates

The organizers divided participants into two separate rankings. The first is based on the volume of cryptocurrency trading on spot and derivatives. The second is based on operations with xStocks (tokenized stocks) and perpetual futures on stock instruments. This segmentation allows traders with different strategies to compete for rewards without mixing liquidity flows. Registration is open from August 25 and will last until September 30, 2026, with the main trading stage starting on September 1 and ending on September 30. All deadlines are tied to 15:00 Moscow time.

Minimum requirements for qualifying: for the cryptocurrency ranking, it is necessary to trade at least 1,000,000 USDT (excluding xStocks), and for the stock ranking — from 100,000 USDT. Also, the participant's balance must be at least 100 USDT by the start. It is important to note that volumes for each direction are calculated in isolation, which eliminates the possibility of "flowing" indicators between rankings.

Distribution of the prize pool

The main cash prize of 900,000 USDT will be distributed among the top-50 traders in the cryptocurrency ranking. The leader will receive up to 270,000 USDT, which is 30% of the pool. The second and third positions will bring 180,000 and 135,000 USDT, respectively. The remaining 100,000 USDT will be distributed among the top-10 participants in the xStocks ranking, where the winner will receive up to 25,000 USDT. Payouts are credited in the form of trading bonuses, which can be used as margin or to cover fees and losses.

In addition to cash rewards, OKX is giving away 50 TradingView subscriptions. The leaders will receive annual Ultimate and Premium plans, as well as invitations to a closed VIP event of the exchange. A separate bonus of 10 USDT is provided for the first 500 traders who link their OKX and TradingView accounts and make at least one trade through the service interface.

Participation is available to new and existing users with a fee level from VIP 1 to VIP 8, however, there are geographical restrictions. The organizers warn about the prohibition of multi-accounting, wash trading, and other manipulations — violators will be disqualified without the right to rewards.

My analysis: Such tournaments are not only a marketing move but also an indicator of market maturity. OKX is deliberately expanding its audience by attracting traders from stock markets through xStocks. This is a signal that exchanges see the future in hybrid instruments, not just in classic crypto pairs. For experienced traders, this is an opportunity to diversify their activity and gain access to closed events where exclusive listings and partnerships are often discussed.
