Crypto exchange OKX, together with TradingView, has announced a large-scale trading tournament, "Race for a Million x2." This is not just another contest for a select few, but a structured competition that covers both classic digital asset markets and new instruments — tokenized stocks. The total prize pool exceeds 1,000,000 USDT, making this event one of the most significant in the current quarter.
Tournament Mechanics: Two Rankings, Two Chances for Success
The key feature of the race is the division of participants into two independent rankings. The first is based on trading volume of cryptocurrencies on spot and derivatives. The second is based on trades with xStocks instruments and perpetual futures on stocks. This approach allows traders with different strategies to compete for rewards without mixing liquidity flows. You can participate in both categories simultaneously, increasing your chances of receiving payouts from two different funds.
Registration for the tournament is open from August 25 to September 30, 2026. The main trading phase will run from September 1 to September 30. An important condition: to enter the crypto ranking, you must trade at least 1,000,000 USDT. For the stocks category, the threshold is lower — from 100,000 USDT in xStocks. Additionally, you must have at least 100 USDT in your balance at the time of the start.
Distribution of the Prize Pool
The main prize of 900,000 USDT is contested among the top 50 traders in the crypto ranking. The leader will receive up to 270,000 USDT, which is 30% of the fund. Second place will bring up to 180,000 USDT, and third place up to 135,000 USDT. Even participants ranked from 11th to 50th will receive guaranteed payouts — 0.25% of the fund each, equivalent to up to 2,250 USDT. This is a reasonable approach: it incentivizes activity not only among the top 5 but also among a wide range of traders.
The second fund — 100,000 USDT — is distributed among the top 10 participants in the xStocks ranking. Here, the winner will receive up to 25,000 USDT. Payouts are issued in the form of trading bonuses, which can be used as margin or to cover fees and losses. It is important to note that rewards in this category are paid out in selected assets: XNVDA, XAAPL, XTSLA, XGOOGL, and XAMZN.
Additional Incentives and Restrictions
In addition to cash prizes, OKX is giving away 50 TradingView subscriptions. Five annual Ultimate subscriptions will go to the leaders of both rankings. There is also a bonus of 10 USDT for the first 500 traders who link their OKX and TradingView accounts and make at least one trade through the service's interface. The top 5 crypto traders and top 3 in stocks will receive invitations to a closed VIP event at OKX.
The organizers warn of strict rules: multi-accounting, wash trading, and other manipulations will lead to disqualification. Participation is available only to verified users (KYC) with a fee tier from VIP 1 to VIP 8. Geographical restrictions also apply.
My analysis: OKX is demonstrating a confident trend toward integrating traditional finance into the crypto ecosystem. Dividing into two rankings is not just a marketing move, but an attempt to attract both experienced crypto speculators and traders accustomed to the stock market. The tournament fosters healthy competition, and the transparent prize distribution system is a good signal for the community. However, it is worth remembering: high trading volumes for the sake of a reward always carry increased risk, and participation should be a conscious decision.
