The OKX crypto exchange, in partnership with TradingView, has announced a large-scale trading tournament, "Race for a Million x2." The competition combines two different markets — digital assets and tokenized stocks — with a total prize pool exceeding 1,000,000 USDT. Participants can expect not only cash bonuses but also subscriptions to the analytics platform, as well as invitations to a closed VIP event.
Registration for the tournament starts on August 25 and will run until September 30, 2026. The main trading phase will take place from September 1 to September 30. All deadlines are set according to Moscow time (15:00 MSK). The organizers have provided two independent rankings: the first is based on cryptocurrency trading volume on spot and derivatives, and the second is based on transactions with xStocks and perpetual futures on stocks. Traders can participate in both categories simultaneously, increasing their chances of receiving a reward.
Mechanics and selection conditions
To qualify for the cryptocurrency ranking, you must trade at least 1,000,000 USDT (excluding xStocks and stock futures). The threshold for the stock ranking is lower — from 100,000 USDT in xStocks and perpetual futures. Additionally, at the start of the competition, participants must have at least 100 USDT equivalent in their account balance.
Prize payouts are issued in the form of trading bonuses, which can be used as margin, to pay fees, funding, or to cover realized losses. An important nuance: the tournament will only take place if at least 100 qualified participants are registered.
Distribution of the prize pool
The main cash prize of 900,000 USDT is up for grabs in the cryptocurrency ranking among the top 50 traders. The leader will receive up to 270,000 USDT, and the distribution is structured so that the lion's share of the pool goes to the top five. The second prize pool — 100,000 USDT — is distributed among the top 10 traders in the xStocks category. Here, the maximum payout for the winner will be 25,000 USDT. This category takes into account transactions with XNVDA, XAAPL, XTSLA, XGOOGL, and XAMZN.
In addition to cash, OKX is giving away 50 TradingView subscriptions. Five annual Ultimate subscriptions will go to the leaders (1st–3rd places in the crypto ranking and 1st–2nd in the stock ranking), 15 annual Premium subscriptions will go to participants in positions 4 through 15 in the crypto ranking and 3 through 5 in the stock ranking. The remaining 30 monthly Premium subscriptions will be divided among positions 16–40 in crypto and 6–10 in xStocks. A separate bonus of 10 USDT will be received by the first 500 traders who link their OKX and TradingView accounts and make at least one trade through the service interface.
The top 5 crypto traders and top 3 stock traders will also receive invitations to a closed OKX VIP event. The organizers will provide details separately.
Restrictions and rules
Both new and existing OKX users with a fee level from VIP 1 to VIP 8 who have passed KYC can participate. Geographic restrictions apply in accordance with clause 2.2 of the terms of service. Only transactions from the main account are counted — sub-account statistics are not considered. The organizers warn against multi-accounting, wash trading, and other manipulations: violators will be disqualified without the right to a reward. Payouts are made within 15 business days after the tournament ends.
My analysis: Such tournaments are not just a marketing move but an important indicator of competition among exchanges for liquidity. OKX deliberately combines the crypto and stock markets, pushing traders to diversify their assets within its ecosystem. For participants, this is an opportunity not only to earn but also to test new tools in real market conditions. However, do not forget: high returns come with high risk, and bonuses should not become a reason for unjustifiably increasing trading positions.
