The cryptocurrency exchange Bitunix has integrated a new Replay Trading feature into its PC Ultra terminal, which allows futures traders to simulate trades on real historical market data. The tool makes it possible to practice trading strategies without placing real orders and without risk to the main balance.
How market replay works
In Replay Trading mode, the user selects a specific starting point on a historical chart and observes how price dynamics developed from that moment. Playback can be controlled: start, pause, or scroll through candles one by one. Speed adjustment allows for detailed analysis of individual market movements and quick passage through extended periods.
The feature includes built-in trade simulation: the trader independently sets a training balance and leverage, places market and limit orders, tracks open positions, and manages pending orders directly during playback. All orders are executed with virtual funds and are not connected to real trading accounts.
Analysis of results for each session
Upon completing a session, the user can review their trading activity, including executed orders and the profit or loss (PnL) indicator. Completed sessions are saved in the My Replay section, where they are available for detailed review and returning to the trade log. Past sessions open in read-only mode, which allows reviewing decisions and results without altering the original records.
Currently, Replay Trading is available exclusively for futures in the PC Ultra terminal. The launch of the feature reflects Bitunix's focus on developing tools that meet the practical needs of traders and expanding the platform with solutions for more flexible market analysis and trade management.
Platform context
Bitunix is an international cryptocurrency derivatives exchange trusted by more than 5 million users from over 150 countries. The platform adheres to the principle of "best liquidity — best trading" and targets traders with elevated requirements. Its priorities are Ultra Trust, Ultra Products, and Ultra Experience. Fund protection meets global standards thanks to Proof of Reserves (POR) and the Bitunix Care Fund. Industry solutions such as Fixed Risk, a set of charts based on TradingView, indicator alerts, and cloud synchronization of templates make the experience convenient for both beginners and experienced traders.
Cryptalist analysis: The launch of Replay Trading intensifies competition among derivatives exchanges in the segment of educational and analytical tools, where specialized services have historically dominated. Such features lower the entry threshold for new traders and increase retention of the experienced audience, which in a saturated derivatives market becomes a significant differentiation factor. For Bitunix, this is a step toward forming a full-cycle ecosystem, although the long-term effect will depend on the depth of historical data and the quality of simulation execution.
