Brian Armstrong: $60,000 is a likely "bottom" for Bitcoin, but there are no guarantees

CEO Coinbase Брайан Армстронг

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has expressed the opinion that Bitcoin has likely already reached a local bottom around $60,000. However, he emphasized that there is no complete certainty about this, and the market remains extremely volatile. Armstrong maintains a long position in the asset, calling Bitcoin "new digital gold."

Cyclical Logic and Long-Term View

Analyzing the dynamics, Armstrong links the current phase to the historical four-year halving cycle. According to his forecasts, by 2030 we may see significantly higher price levels. This is not just optimism—it is based on fundamental emission mechanisms and growing institutional adoption.

It is important to understand: the $60,000 mark is not a magical boundary. It is rather a level where the market finds temporary equilibrium after a correction. Looking at on-chain data, the activity of large holders (whales) and accumulation volumes indeed indicate that the $58,000–$62,000 zone is an area of interest for long-term investors.

My View as an Analyst

I agree with Armstrong that Bitcoin is showing signs of forming a bottom, but macroeconomic risks and potential regulatory pressure should not be dismissed. I would view $60,000 as strong support, but not as an absolute minimum. For a confident upward trend, a consolidation above $68,000 with volume confirmation is necessary. For now, the market is in a consolidation phase, and any break below $58,000 could open the path to $52,000.
