Brian Armstrong: Bitcoin's "bottom" could be near $60,000
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong suggested that Bitcoin may have already formed a local "bottom" around $60,000. However, he emphasized that there is no absolute certainty — the market remains extremely volatile, and any forecasts come with a high degree of uncertainty.
Armstrong confirmed that he maintains a long position in the asset, viewing Bitcoin as "new digital gold." He expects the value of the first cryptocurrency to be significantly higher than current levels by 2030, linking this assessment to the historical four-year halving cycle. According to him, the reduction in issuance every four years creates a structural supply deficit, which should drive the price up in the long term.
My expert assessment: Armstrong's statement is not so much technical analysis as a signal of confidence from a key industry player. The $60,000 level does indeed look psychologically important, but I would not rush to call it the final "bottom." The market may test lower zones as well, especially amid macroeconomic risks. However, the long-term trend, supported by halvings, remains bullish — and on this, I agree with Armstrong.
