XRP to $1000: Is such a scenario realistic after the rise to $1.29?

This week, XRP demonstrated a confident upward momentum, rising by 9.3% and reaching a local high around $1.29. This surge occurred against the backdrop of significant accumulation of the coin by large holders and a general revival in the altcoin market. The ambitious long-term forecast, suggesting the asset could rise to $1000 by 2030, once again took center stage.

A key catalyst for the current movement was a noticeable reduction in geopolitical tensions, which prompted investors to reassess risk assets. Bitcoin responded by rising to $65,300, gold gained about 2%, while commodity markets, on the contrary, showed a decline. XRP, in turn, not only recouped its losses but also consolidated above the $1.22 mark, confirming the strength of the upward trend.

Whale Accumulation as a Fundamental Signal

One of the most important drivers for XRP remains the behavior of the largest investors. According to blockchain data, wallets with a balance of more than 1 million XRP now hold 74.1% of the total market supply. Over the past six months, these "whales" have increased their holdings by approximately 1.53 billion tokens. This dynamic indicates the long-term confidence of institutional players in the asset's prospects, despite recent price corrections. When a positive macroeconomic backdrop combines with sustained accumulation by large holders, sharp price rebounds become only a matter of time.

$1000 Forecast: Math and Market Realities

Former Goldman Sachs analyst and co-founder of the educational app EasyA, Dom Kwok, has once again drawn attention to his forecast, according to which XRP could reach $1000 by 2030. This scenario is based not so much on speculative growth as on the expected mass adoption of the XRP Ledger blockchain into financial infrastructure. Kwok draws a parallel with the dawn of the internet era: the real explosion occurred only after the emergence of simple and useful services. In his opinion, it is XRP, not Bitcoin or Ethereum, that will become the main beneficiary of the influx of new users, as its price ($1.22) seems much more accessible to newcomers.

However, to reach $1000, XRP's market capitalization would need to exceed $60 trillion. This would require an unprecedented level of adoption and an influx of trillions of dollars. Such a scenario is only possible with the total integration of the XRP Ledger into global financial and commercial settlements. At this point, it looks like an extremely optimistic, but not impossible, goal, given the current dynamics of Ripple's partnerships and the development of tokenization on the XRPL.

My professional opinion: The $1000 forecast is more of a long-term "visionary" goal, reflecting the technology's potential, rather than a realistic target for the coming years. However, the current accumulation by "whales" and the improvement of the macroeconomic backdrop create favorable conditions for XRP's medium-term growth to the $1.50–$2.00 range, which is a much more achievable goal at this stage.
