The TradFi Revolution at Gate.com: Daily trading volume surged from zero to $1.5 billion
Crypto analyst CryptoOnchain has recorded an impressive surge in the traditional finance (TradFi) segment on the Gate.com exchange. In just one year, the trading volume of classic assets on this platform grew from near-zero levels to an all-time high of $1.5 billion per day, reached on March 23, 2026.
According to the expert's estimates, on that day, Gate processed a larger volume of traditional assets than Bybit, Bitget, and WOO combined. However, the key takeaway lies not in the scale of the numbers, but in the qualitative structure of this flow. The platform's users demonstrate the behavior of experienced macro traders, rather than random speculators.
Capital Rotation: From Stocks to Safe-Haven Assets
Analysis of on-chain data reveals a clear and logical pattern of capital rotation. When stock trading volumes declined, funds did not leave the platform but flowed into safe-haven metals. The turnover of tokenized gold (XAU) surged by 719%. The cumulative trading volume for gold reached $16.8 billion, and for silver, $16.3 billion.
Peak activity in stocks coincided precisely with Wall Street earnings seasons. This irrefutably proves that Gate traders are guided by real market catalysts, not random movements.
Among the tokenized stock offerings, Tesla (TSLAX) led with a turnover of $1.68 billion, followed by Nvidia (NVDAX) at $1.06 billion and Circle (CRCLX) at $1.04 billion. These instruments were the most in demand among users.
Seamless Ecosystem for All Asset Classes
The main achievement of Gate.com, according to the analyst, is the seamless integration of various asset classes within a single platform. A trader can open a long position on Nvidia during earnings season and then, amid rising uncertainty, switch to tokenized gold without leaving the exchange interface or resorting to a traditional broker.
All settlements are conducted in the USDT stablecoin. This unites trading in stocks, metals, and oil into a single environment where capital flows freely between instruments depending on market conditions.
While competitors chase raw volume, Gate has bet on infrastructure for sophisticated traders. Instead of pitting cryptocurrencies against traditional finance, the platform is building a unified space for capital management. This is precisely what the market needs for the next wave of institutional adoption.
