IBM introduces a revolutionary technology: chips with 0.7nm transistors

IBM Corporation has achieved a significant breakthrough in the semiconductor field, announcing a chip manufacturing technology with a transistor architecture of 0.7 nm, equivalent to 7 angstroms. This step marks a new phase in the miniaturization of computing components, far exceeding current industry standards.

Nanostack: A New Approach to Transistor Placement

The key innovation is a method called "nanostack." Unlike traditional planar designs, transistors here are arranged in multiple vertical layers. This three-dimensional architecture allows for a radical increase in the density of logic elements per unit area.
