Hyperliquid (HYPE): Analysts predict growth to $319 by 2028 — fundamental analysis and scenarios

The market underestimates the potential of Hyperliquid (HYPE). According to the latest fundamental models, the token's price could rise by more than 400% from current levels, reaching $319 by 2028. This is not just a speculative forecast, but the result of a deep analysis of network metrics and future financial flows.

The key driver of this optimism is Hyperliquid's transformation from a niche platform for trading perpetual contracts into a full-fledged universal trading ecosystem. Many market participants still perceive the project superficially, failing to notice its evolution.

Fundamental Valuation and Scenarios

The target of $319 is based on a 20x multiplier of projected net profit, which is estimated to reach $8 billion by 2028. With a projected token supply of around 502 million, this corresponds to a total project market capitalization of $160 billion.

The base scenario is built on four conservative assumptions: an average annual growth rate of 35% for the crypto derivatives market, a 32% market share for decentralized exchanges in this segment, a 30% market share for Hyperliquid, and proportional growth in USDC volume.

Under the bearish scenario, which assumes more modest dynamics, the token is valued at $109 (a 73% increase). The bullish scenario implies a price of $689 and a 993% increase, if profit reaches $17.3 billion.

Risks and Context

Despite the attractiveness of the forecast, risks cannot be ignored. Regulatory uncertainty, Hyperliquid's validator structure, and the monthly token unlocks for the team are factors that could impact the realization of even the base scenario. The project's dynamics are reminiscent of Binance's early years, when a newcomer became the leading centralized exchange within six months.

At the time of analysis, HYPE is trading around $63, which is 0.26% lower than a day ago, after updating its all-time high of $76.7 on June 16. The correction along with the market creates an interesting entry point for long-term investors but requires careful risk management.

My expert opinion: The forecast looks realistic provided the current growth rates of the DeFi sector and Hyperliquid's share of the derivatives market are maintained. However, investors should consider that monthly unlocks could create short-term pressure on the price, and it is better to enter positions during corrections, using a dollar-cost averaging strategy.
