Qblox and HPE form an alliance for hybrid computing: quantum processors meet HPC and AI
Dutch company Qblox, specializing in quantum processor control systems, has announced a strategic partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Under this agreement, deep integration of Qblox hardware with HPE's high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructures is planned.
The collaboration will focus on creating specialized testbeds. These testbeds will serve as a platform for developing and debugging hybrid algorithms, testing software compatibility, and conducting system benchmarking. The key goal is to ensure seamless interaction between classical HPC systems and quantum accelerators.
In my view, this partnership is a clear indicator of market maturity. We are seeing leaders in classical computing move from theoretical discussions to practical integration of quantum solutions. Qblox, with their unique control systems, and HPE, with their powerful HPC ecosystem, are laying the foundation for true hybrid advantage. The next 12–18 months will show how quickly such alliances can bring quantum computing from laboratories into commercial data centers.
