The High-Tech Park (HTP) is actively working on introducing fundamentally new types of activities into Belarusian crypto legislation. This concerns the legalization of instruments such as copy trading, trust management of digital assets, and airdrops. These are operations that previously remained outside the legal framework and were unavailable to ordinary users within the white sector.

New Functionality for Residents

Currently, all initiatives are at the discussion stage. Specific implementation timelines have not yet been set, and no approved standards exist. However, the direction of movement is clear: the regulator aims to expand the list of permitted operations to meet current market demands. Copy trading, which allows automatically copying the trades of successful traders, and airdrops as a mechanism for free token distribution, are just part of the discussed list.

Crypto Banks: A New Level of Legality

The situation with crypto banks is entirely different. This is already a resolved issue, and the corresponding law comes into effect very soon. The new entity will combine the status of an HTP resident and a classic bank operating under the supervision of the National Bank. Such a hybrid structure will allow certain individuals and companies to conduct foreign economic operations using cryptocurrency completely legally. This is a significant step toward integrating digital assets into the country's traditional financial system.

Infrastructure and Protection of Interests

Belarus has already formed a comprehensive infrastructure for the legal circulation of cryptocurrency. It includes separate regulation for legal entities and individuals, taking into account current restrictions. The key principle is the alignment of interests between the state and law-abiding users. Both sides are interested in expanding safe and legal investment methods while minimizing the risks of fraud.

All HTP residents are required to warn clients about investment risks. Any user can directly contact the High-Tech Park to check whether a specific exchange or organization is a resident and whether state benefits and protection apply to it. This creates a transparent environment where market participants can feel secure.

Expert opinion. Belarus once again demonstrates a pragmatic approach to crypto regulation. Introducing copy trading and airdrops into the legal framework is not just a formality but a powerful signal for investors and startups. However, one should not forget about the sanctions pressure on the country, which could complicate international settlements even under the new, more progressive legislation.
