The Belarusian crypto market is on the verge of significant changes. The High-Tech Park (HTP) is actively working on introducing a number of new activities into the national legislation on digital assets that were previously unavailable to market participants. This concerns the legalization of copy trading, trust management, and airdrops.

Currently, these initiatives are at the stage of active discussion. Specific implementation timelines have not yet been approved, but the very fact that the regulator is considering these areas indicates a mature approach to the development of the industry. It is important to emphasize: this is not just talk about the future, but systematic work to expand the tools for HTP residents and their clients.

New Horizons: From Copy Trading to Crypto Banking

Among the operations under discussion are automatic copying of successful traders' deals (copy trading), transferring assets to professional managers for trust management, as well as conducting airdrops — free token distributions to attract attention to projects. The legalization of these mechanisms could radically change the landscape of the Belarusian market, attracting both retail investors and institutional players.

However, the closest and already nearly resolved innovation is the creation of crypto banks. This new entity will combine the functions of an HTP resident and a classic bank operating under the supervision of the National Bank. Such a hybrid structure will allow certain individuals and companies to legally conduct foreign economic operations using cryptocurrency, removing many current legal and operational barriers. This is undoubtedly a powerful step towards integrating digital assets into the real economy.

Infrastructure and Protection: A Balance of Interests

The infrastructure being created in Belarus for the legal circulation of cryptocurrencies is already distinguished by its comprehensiveness. There is separate regulation for legal entities and individuals, as well as clear restrictions. A key point emphasized at all levels is the alignment of interests between the state and law-abiding users. Both sides are interested in expanding legal and safe investment methods while minimizing the risks of fraud.

All HTP residents are required to warn clients about investment risks. Moreover, any user can directly contact the High-Tech Park to check whether a specific exchange or organization is an HTP resident and whether it is covered by benefits and state protection. This creates a transparent and controlled environment.

Cryptalist Analysis: The legalization of airdrops and copy trading in Belarus is not just a bureaucratic upgrade, but a strategic move. While many jurisdictions are tightening regulations, the HTP is betting on attracting innovative businesses and retail investors. However, one should not forget about sanctions pressure: cryptocurrency transactions for Russian citizens on the territory of Belarus may involve additional risks. Nevertheless, for the Belarusian market itself, this is undoubtedly a step forward.
