Elon Musk's space company SpaceX has initiated Bitcoin transfers between its wallets for the first time in the last six months. According to data from the analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, the transactions were insignificant in volume — just 0.00213 BTC, 0.00139 BTC, and 0.000738 BTC, totaling less than $300 at the current exchange rate. Critically, the funds were not sent to exchange addresses and remained fully under the company's control, ruling out any intention of sale or liquidation.
Public Disclosure of Reserves After IPO
Recall that after the initial public offering on June 12, 2026, SpaceX officially disclosed the full volume of its Bitcoin reserves for the first time. It amounted to 18,712 BTC, valued at approximately $1.16 billion at the time. Prior to this, Arkham analysts had attributed only about 8,285 BTC to the company, making the actual figures more than double the expected amount. This disclosure was an important signal for the market, confirming that SpaceX is one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin.
Analysis and Market Context
The current movement of such small sums appears to be a technical operation — possibly wallet testing, internal fund consolidation, or preparation for future transactions. Given that Elon Musk is known for his influence on the cryptocurrency market, even minimal movements from his companies attract close attention. However, the absence of transfers to exchanges and the negligible volume indicate no intention to reduce the position.
My analysis: SpaceX continues to demonstrate a long-term commitment to Bitcoin, and the current transactions pose no threat to the market. Rather, these are routine internal operations that should not spark speculation about an imminent sale of a large portion of the reserves. Amid instability in traditional markets, such movements only confirm the hedging strategy through digital assets.
