The morning of July 10 greets us with a confident "green" opening. Bitcoin (BTC) started with a rise and, at the time of analysis, is trading around $64,044. Over the past 24 hours, the asset showed a low of $62,190 and a high of $63,992. In ruble equivalent, this is about 4,863,061 ₽ per coin. Ethereum (ETH) is also keeping pace, holding steady at $1,774 (approximately 134,700 ₽).

In the top 10 by market capitalization, all coins are in the green over the past 24 hours. However, the weekly dynamics show some correction: Solana (-1.99%) and Dogecoin (-0.67%) are currently in the red. The leader of daily growth is BTC itself (+2.93%), while over the week, TRON showed the best result (+4.51%). In the broader top 100 list, DeXe stands out with an impressive +16.48% over the day and +46.22% over the week. The laggards are also in place: over the day, MemeCore lost the most (-3.74%), and over the week, Audiera (-27.50%).

Polymarket Bets on Leverage

The prediction market platform Polymarket has filed an application to register as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the National Futures Association (NFA). This step is a direct intention to launch margin trading in the U.S. Users will be able to place bets on events by contributing only a portion of the required capital. Full launch will also require approval from the CFTC. Interestingly, Polymarket's competitor, the Kalshi platform, already received NFA approval back in March 2026. The prediction market is clearly preparing for a new phase of institutional growth.

Zcash: Ironwood Against Fakes

The Zcash network has finally set a date for the long-awaited Ironwood update — July 28. The update aims to fix a critical bug discovered in May in the main private pool, Orchard. Ironwood will close the current pool, block new activity in it, and create a new one. All funds leaving the old pool will pass through an accounting checkpoint to identify counterfeit ZEC tokens that may have been created due to the vulnerability. Earlier, Shielded Labs proposed postponing the update, fearing that bridges, mining pools, and wallets would not have time to prepare. As a result, the launch was pushed back by a week from the original date of July 21. This is a smart and timely step to preserve the integrity of the network.

Bitwise: DeFi Shows Anomalous Resilience

Analysts at Bitwise have noted unusual behavior in tokens of the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. In June, when Bitcoin fell by about 22%, the index of major DeFi protocols dropped by only 4%. This sharply contrasts with the sector's historical volatility, which usually falls much more sharply than BTC. Bitwise calls this a "quiet revaluation." In their view, protocols like Morpho and Jupiter are attracting the attention of large institutions. However, the total value locked (TVL) in DeFi has decreased by nearly 40% since the start of the year — from $115 billion in January to just over $70 billion. My opinion: Anomalous price resilience amid falling TVL is a classic sign of accumulation by "smart money." The market may be reassessing the fundamental value of DeFi protocols, detaching from momentary liquidity indicators. This is a signal for those who are looking long-term.
