The crypto industry is taking another step in the fight against cybercrime. SlowMist, a company specializing in blockchain security, has integrated a new AI agent, TrackAgent, into its free service for assessing stolen assets. This is not just an update — it is a paradigm shift in investigating crypto incidents, where every minute counts and stolen funds can "dissolve" across dozens of wallets in a matter of moments.

TrackAgent is not just a tool for extracting data from the blockchain. It is a true on-chain detective built on artificial intelligence. Its task is not simply to show a transaction, but to reconstruct the full picture of the crime by tracing the route of funds along the chain.

How the "Digital Detective" Works

The user provides the system with initial data: the victim's address, the attacker's address, the transaction hash, the type and amount of stolen assets, as well as the time of the incident. TrackAgent begins by verifying the origin of the funds, then step by step tracks their path through the blockchain.

As soon as digital assets pass through exchanges, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), cross-chain bridges, mixers, or aggregator addresses, the agent identifies these key nodes. The system does not stop at one operation — it continues to monitor the flows, even if tokens are exchanged, split into multiple transactions, or recombined.

According to SlowMist, this is precisely where the true value of the AI agent lies. It does not just retrieve data but constantly analyzes the entire case holistically: determining which paths are worth pursuing and which nodes offer opportunities for requesting evidence or freezing assets.

TrackAgent uses multi-layered intelligence. It combines on-chain labels, indicators of compromise, and its own threat data. This allows it to quickly determine whether the theft is linked to a drainer, a fake wallet, a pig butchering scheme, or, for example, the Lazarus hacking group.

The key innovation is the automatic correlation of funds across multiple attacker addresses. Instead of analyzing each wallet individually, the agent builds a unified flow graph, identifying common collection points, withdrawal routes, and the laundering infrastructure used.

31 Blockchains in the Crosshairs

The scale of the system is impressive. TrackAgent supports 31 blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TRON, and the EVM ecosystem with layer-2 (L2) solutions.

This enables tracking the most common theft scenarios: from Bitcoin transactions using the UTXO model to stablecoin transfers on TRON and asset movements in EVM networks. For complex schemes involving splitting, exchanging, cross-chain transfers, and mixing, the agent primarily reconstructs the key flow of funds.

The integration builds on the company's years of experience. SlowMist launched its first stolen asset tracking service in March 2021, and since November 2022, it has been accepting online applications from victims. Over four years, the company has processed more than 12,000 requests.

The implementation of TrackAgent transitions the service from point queries to full-fledged investigations using AI. Preliminary analysis, which previously required significant manual effort, is now performed faster, allowing experienced analysts to focus on verification and complex cases.

Expert opinion. SlowMist has made a powerful leap forward. TrackAgent is not just a tool but a necessary element of the security ecosystem for the entire crypto community. However, it is worth remembering that technology is only part of the equation. The effectiveness of fund recovery still depends on the willingness of exchanges and stablecoin issuers to respond to requests, as well as jurisdictional procedures. Nevertheless, the emergence of such an AI agent is a serious blow to the anonymity of attackers and an important tool for protecting users.
