The crypto security sector is taking a powerful step forward: SlowMist has integrated artificial intelligence into its free stolen asset tracking service. This involves the TrackAgent system, which transforms routine blockchain data analysis into a full-fledged intelligence investigation.

TrackAgent does not operate like a simple blockchain scanner but rather as a true on-chain detective. The user inputs initial data: the victim's address, the attacker's address, the transaction hash, the type and amount of stolen funds, and the time of the incident. After that, the system begins meticulous work: it checks the origin of the funds and tracks their movement along the chain step by step.

How the AI Agent Works

The key advantage of TrackAgent is its ability to analyze the entire flow of assets, rather than individual operations. When stolen tokens pass through exchanges, DEXs, bridges, mixers, or aggregators, the agent identifies these nodes. Even if funds are split, mixed, or combined, the system continues to monitor the overall flows instead of getting stuck on single transactions.

The operation is based on multi-layered intelligence. TrackAgent uses on-chain labels, indicators of compromise, and its own threat data. This allows it to quickly determine whether the theft is linked to a drainer, a fake wallet, a "pig butchering" scheme, or, for example, the Lazarus hacking group.

Particularly noteworthy is the function of automatically correlating funds across multiple attacker addresses. Instead of analyzing each wallet individually, the agent builds a single flow graph, identifying common collection points, withdrawal routes, and the laundering infrastructure used.

Scale and Significance for the Industry

TrackAgent supports 31 blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TRON, and the EVM ecosystem with L2 solutions. This covers virtually all theft scenarios: from Bitcoin UTXO transactions to stablecoin transfers on TRON and asset movements in EVM networks.

The integration builds on SlowMist's years of experience. The company launched its first stolen asset tracking service back in March 2021, and has been accepting online applications from victims since November 2022. Over four years, more than 12,000 requests have been processed.

SlowMist experts emphasize that the implementation of TrackAgent shifts the service from point-specific queries to full-fledged investigations using an AI agent. Preliminary analysis, which previously required significant manual effort, is now performed faster, allowing experienced analysts to focus on verification and complex cases.

My analysis: This is not just a tool update—it is a paradigm shift in the fight against crypto crime. Automating on-chain investigations with AI lowers the entry barrier for victims and increases the speed of incident response. However, it is worth remembering that technology is only part of the equation. TrackAgent's effectiveness will depend on the willingness of exchanges, stablecoin issuers, and legal structures to respond to the system's signals. Technically, we can track the funds, but recovering them is a task that requires coordination across the entire industry.
