Bitget's rToken tokenized stock product has demonstrated explosive growth, surpassing the $100 million mark in assets under management in just five weeks since its launch. This success is not a coincidence, but a natural result of the rapidly growing interest in the tokenized securities segment.
Such instruments have already passed the beta testing stage and become one of the fastest-growing sectors of the market. Trading volumes and the value of these assets have surged sharply, confirming their maturity and demand.
Main driver — SpaceX and 24/7 trading
According to platform data, since June 2, the total transaction volume for rToken has reached $671.37 million, with an average daily turnover of $19.75 million, peaking at $56.16 million.
The greatest interest from traders was sparked by tokenized exposure to SpaceX: rSPCX accounts for 23.51% of all platform assets — the largest digitized security in the portfolio. It is followed by rCSCO (17.75%) and rNVDA (13.38%).
The surge in interest coincided with a rise across the entire tokenized stock market. In June, their monthly turnover reached $3.4 billion for the first time: a 279% increase month-over-month and a 1400% increase year-over-year. Analysts attribute this momentum to the hype around SpaceX and the ability to trade stocks around the clock — something traditional exchanges cannot offer.
Tokenized stock market: numbers and paradoxes
According to RWA.xyz, the total market for tokenized stocks has reached approximately $1.82 billion. Over the past 30 days, the figure has grown by 26%. Trading activity is growing at an even faster pace: monthly transaction volume amounted to $8.79 billion — 88% more than a year ago. The number of holders also increased by 16%, to 414,000.
However, the dynamics of active addresses are contradictory: over 30 days, it decreased by about 75%, despite the growth in value and number of transactions. This indicates that the market is consolidating around large players rather than retail users.
Such growth points to broader access to equity instruments via blockchain. Traders can hold and trade digital stock shares outside standard sessions, opening new horizons for global liquidity.
Expert commentary: The success of rToken is not just the story of a single product, but a signal that tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) is becoming mainstream. However, the decline in active addresses amid volume growth suggests that the market is still driven by large investors rather than the mass user. For tokenized stocks to become a truly mass-market instrument, more educational initiatives and a lower entry barrier will be needed.
