Just seven days after the launch of its public mainnet, the L2 solution Robinhood Chain demonstrated impressive momentum, processing $3.1 billion in total volume on decentralized exchanges. This metric instantly propelled the network into the top 5 blockchains by activity in the DEX segment.
As of July 13, the protocol ranks third in daily turnover on decentralized exchanges with a figure of $808 million, trailing only Solana and BNB Chain. Such a rapid rise indicates high interest from both retail traders and major liquidity providers.
Analysts note that approximately 65,000 users already hold $300 million in stablecoins and $13 million in tokenized stocks on the network. The total value locked in DeFi protocols on Robinhood Chain has exceeded $100 million — a solid start for infrastructure focused on real financial services.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer-2 solution based on Arbitrum, purpose-built for working with real-world assets. Major platforms including Uniswap, Morpho, Lighter, Chainlink, and BitGo have already been integrated into the ecosystem. This provides the network with access to deep liquidity and proven oracles.
It is worth noting that in the first week, trading activity was distinctly speculative in nature. Initially, turnover was mainly driven by memecoins, but liquidity from traditional crypto traders then began to flow in. This is a natural stage — any new blockchain needs community "warming up" before institutional capital arrives.
For Robinhood shares (HOOD), analysts maintain a positive rating with a target price of $130. At the time of writing, the company's shares are trading at $110. Recall that in June, Robinhood's management changed its governance structure and cut its workforce by 10% — a move the market perceived as an attempt to optimize expenses ahead of the massive blockchain launch.
My analysis: The success of Robinhood Chain is not just another hype around L2. It is a demonstration that the combination of a traditional financial platform with decentralized infrastructure can produce a synergistic effect. However, the key question is whether the network can sustain current volumes once the first wave of speculative interest subsides. If the team manages to attract real RWA assets and long-term holders, Robinhood Chain has every chance of securing a top position.
