The focus is on creating a fundamentally new digital platform for strategic management, tentatively named "Gosplan 2.0." The initiative for this large-scale project came from President Vladimir Putin, with its key goal being to radically improve the efficiency of public administration and accelerate the digitalization of all key economic sectors.
At the core of "Gosplan 2.0" are artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. According to the developers' vision, the new system will take on functions such as distributing production capacities across industries, identifying and eliminating "bottlenecks" in technological chains, and forecasting needs for equipment, raw materials, and skilled personnel.
Special emphasis is placed on coordinating import substitution and identifying priority areas for scientific research. The platform is also designed to integrate individual enterprises into industrial clusters and cooperation networks, forming a unified, interconnected production ecosystem.
Who is behind the development and what are the timelines?
The project is being implemented by a consortium that includes both government agencies (the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, and the Presidential Administration) and non-governmental organizations.
