Leading global economists, researchers, and top executives of technology giants — a total of over 200 specialists, including 16 Nobel laureates — have called on the global community to immediately prepare for large-scale economic disruptions caused by the development of artificial intelligence.

According to their estimates, the adoption of AI could transform the global economy within the next ten years. Moreover, the pace of change will be significantly faster than during the Industrial Revolution. The main risk is the mass displacement of workers from traditional employment sectors.

Experts emphasize that AI technologies are already demonstrating the ability to perform tasks previously considered exclusively human: from legal analysis to programming and creative work. Without preventive measures — retraining, social guarantees, and legislative adaptation — society will face an unprecedented level of unemployment and social inequality.

Notably, among the signatories of the appeal are not only academics but also practitioners who directly create AI products. This indicates that the threat is recognized from within the industry, not just by external observers.

Comment from Cryptalist expert: The cryptocurrency and blockchain market is already facing a similar challenge — trading automation, smart contracts, and AI analytics are gradually replacing manual labor. Investors should consider that over the next 3-5 years, traditional professions in finance and IT could change dramatically. Diversification of skills and assets is not a luxury but a necessity.
