The investment was led by SGInnovate and Lotus One Investment, confirming the high interest of institutional players in post-quantum solutions.
pQCee's main innovation is its so-called "crypto-agile" software products. This is not just encryption, but a flexible architecture that allows for the rapid replacement of security algorithms via cloud patches, without replacing physical hardware. This approach is critically important in a context where classical cryptography (RSA, ECC) is becoming vulnerable to quantum computing.
The team pays particular attention to the "harvest now, decrypt later" class of threat. Attackers can already accumulate encrypted data today, waiting for the emergence of powerful quantum computers capable of breaking current standards. pQCee offers protection against this long-term, yet very real, attack strategy.
The funds raised will be used to scale the team and actively expand into key markets — the USA, Europe, and the Middle East. Considering previous rounds, the project's total funding raised has reached $6.7 million.
