A highly interesting and potentially explosive imbalance is forming on the Ethereum market. An on-chain data analysis conducted by my team has revealed a classic supply squeeze pattern that has historically preceded sharp price movements. The essence is simple: the number of free coins is decreasing, while the "gunpowder" in the form of stablecoins is increasing.

The key signal comes from the largest exchange, Binance. The inflow of stablecoins to the spot market has surged by 506% relative to the 90-day average. More than $72 million in "stable coins" is arriving at the exchange daily. These are not just numbers—this is colossal purchasing power on standby.

Ether is leaving exchanges, moving into staking

Alongside the accumulation of "ammunition," we are observing the opposite process with Ethereum itself. The net outflow of ETH from exchanges has remained in negative territory for the second consecutive week. The asset is leaving the liquid market. Moreover, the share of coins locked in staking has reached a new all-time high of 33.48%. This means that an increasing portion of the supply is being removed from circulation and is unavailable for trading.

Thus, we see a classic pattern: demand (in the form of stablecoins) is rising, while supply (available ETH) is shrinking. And all of this is happening against a backdrop of a relatively stable price around $1840. The market is in a "compressed spring" state.

A new fundamental reality

It is important to note that the current situation is fundamentally different from previous bullish phases. In the past, price growth was fueled by aggressive leverage and speculative frenzy. Now we see a different picture. Funding rates on Binance have cooled by 31% over the week, indicating position preparation more on the spot market rather than an overheated futures market.

The accumulation of stablecoins amid the tightening of liquid ETH supply is a sign of patient positioning, not reckless speculation. The market is preparing for a move but is waiting for a trigger.

Commentary from Cryptalist analyst: The scenario where accumulated capital in stablecoins floods into a shrinking ETH supply creates the prerequisites for a sharp and directional price movement. However, for this imbalance to materialize into a full-fledged rally, a sustained shift in sentiment and confirmation of an upward trend are needed. For now, it is only potential, but extremely powerful potential.
