Spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US are confidently maintaining positive momentum, showing capital inflows for the second consecutive week. From July 13 to 17, the funds attracted $75.67 million, finally solidifying a reversal after a prolonged eight-week outflow phase.
Let me remind you that the turning point emerged a week earlier: from July 6 to 10, ETFs turned positive for the first time in a long while, recording a total inflow of $197.4 million. Now we are seeing a confirmation of the trend — investors are gradually regaining confidence in the instrument, despite ongoing market volatility.
Daily Dynamics: One Negative Amid Steady Growth
An analysis of daily flows shows a mixed but overall positive picture. The only day with an outflow was July 13, when funds lost $424.66 million. However, the very next day, July 14, inflows reached $181.08 million, and on July 15, another $107.8 million.
Positive dynamics continued at the end of the week: on July 16, funds attracted $79.15 million, and on July 17, $132.3 million. Thus, the total net inflow for the week not only offset the single outflow but also brought the overall figure since the ETF launch to $51.35 billion.
Ether Outpaces Bitcoin, XRP in Positive Territory
Notably, the inflow affected not only Bitcoin funds. Spot Ethereum ETFs showed a weekly inflow of $105.44 million, even exceeding the figures for Bitcoin products. This indicates growing institutional interest in alternative assets, especially amid expectations for Ethereum network upgrades.
XRP funds also attracted attention: they received $6.78 million over the week. The inflow into Solana ETFs was more modest — about $948 thousand. However, not all assets stayed in positive territory: funds for the HYPE token recorded an outflow of $7.26 million, while other crypto products showed zero flows.
My expert take: Two consecutive weeks of inflows into Bitcoin ETFs is a signal that cannot be ignored. After an eight-week "bloodbath," the market appears to have found a local bottom. However, I advise caution: $75 million is a drop in the ocean compared to previous outflows. For a sustainable bullish trend, we need consistent inflows of $200+ million per week for at least a month. For now, this is merely a corrective bounce, not a full reversal.
