Sailing Regatta "6MH Cup": How Crypto Media and a Watch Factory Unite in the Moscow Region

From September 25 to 27, 2026, the final stage of the interregional sailing regatta "6MX Cup" will take place at the Pirogovskoye Reservoir in the Moscow region. This event has already become iconic not only for yachting but also for the intersection of business, industry, and digital technologies.

The regatta is organized by the Moscow watch factory "Polet-Khronos" — the only enterprise in the country that mass-produces unique marine precision timekeeping instruments. This year, the international crypto media has become the general information partner of the competition, adding an unexpected yet highly symbolic nuance to the event.

What is the "6MX Cup"?

This is a competition on MX700 class sailing yachts, held twice a year since 2021 with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The regatta was established by the factory together with the Moscow sailing club X-Sailing to promote the 6MX watch brand. The geography expands with each season: the first stages have already taken place in Sevastopol and Kaliningrad, while the final traditionally gathers participants in the waters of Pirogovo near Moscow.

The competition format is unique in that it makes sailing accessible to beginners. Crews consisting of employees from industrial and commercial enterprises, civil servants, and business representatives are invited to participate. The organizers provide the team with a professional yachtsman-instructor, so even those without experience can compete and win. No more than one professional is allowed per crew, and a separate group "First Time Under Sail" operates for beginners.

A Regatta with a Mission

The "6MX Cup" is conceived not just as a sporting spectacle. It is a tool for fostering a "sailing culture" — a love for yachting combined with an understanding of its aesthetic and commercial appeal. Participation develops leadership qualities, team management skills, and helps establish new business contacts.

Each stage is included in the Unified Calendar Plan of regional sailing federations and the Ministry of Sports. Media support is provided by federal and regional media, "watch" and "sailing" publications, as well as bloggers.

The collaboration with crypto media here is no coincidence. The organizers emphasize that their goal is to educate the audience about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, without calls for investment. Technologies are changing not only finance but also logistics, data protection, and other important industries. The regatta advocates for three postulates: digital literacy, sails as a symbol of moving forward, and watches — complex mechanisms where precision is important, just as in the new digital reality.

Expert opinion: The synergy of traditional watchmaking, sailing, and crypto media is not just a marketing ploy. It is an indicator that the blockchain industry seeks integration with the real sector, going beyond purely speculative assets. Such collaborations shape a new image of the crypto community, making it more mature and socially responsible.
