Robinhood Chain breaks records: daily transaction volume reached 11.6 million, and the USDe stablecoin is taking over the network

Robinhood

Over the past week, from August 3 to August 9, the Robinhood Chain network demonstrated an impressive surge, setting an all-time high in daily activity. The average daily transaction volume soared to 11.6 million, a 30% increase over the previous week's figures. This is not merely a statistical fluctuation but a clear signal that the platform is entering a new phase of maturity and mass adoption.

Key metrics confirm the sustainability of this growth. The total value locked (TVL) jumped by 32%, reaching $473 million. The number of daily active addresses also rose by 3.3%, indicating an influx of real users rather than one-off operations by large players. Notably, this surge in activity is largely driven by the momentum of Ethena's USDe stablecoin.

Over the past month, the volume of USDe in the network grew from $17 million to an impressive $253 million. This asset now accounts for 43% of all "stablecoin" supply in Robinhood Chain, fundamentally reshaping the network's landscape. The previously dominant USDG (a Paxos stablecoin linked to Robinhood) has ceded its lead, pointing to a shift in user preferences toward higher-yielding or more technologically advanced solutions.

Such rapid growth of USDe is no coincidence. It is the result of synergy between the network's expanding liquidity and the appeal of Ethena's synthetic dollar, which offers an alternative to traditional stablecoins. In my professional analysis, this trend underscores that Robinhood Chain is becoming not just a trading venue but a full-fledged DeFi ecosystem. However, investors should monitor the sustainability of this growth: reliance on a single asset could create risks in the event of a sharp shift in market conditions. Nevertheless, current figures suggest that the network has found its niche and is ready for further scaling.
