The market for tokenized stocks has exploded: the number of holders grew by 124% in a month

RWA tokenization

The real-world asset (RWA) tokenization sector is demonstrating impressive momentum, and fresh data clearly confirms this. Over the past 30 days, the number of unique addresses holding tokenized stocks has surged by 124%, reaching 1.31 million. This is not just a statistical spike, but a clear signal of growing confidence among institutional and retail investors in digital forms of traditional securities.

Key Growth Metrics

The volume of monthly transfers in this segment has grown by nearly 180%, reaching a substantial $23.13 billion. Meanwhile, the number of active addresses has increased by 34.6%—to 572,000. The total distributed value of digitized securities (RWA) has added 5.9%, settling at $2.38 billion. Such dynamics indicate that the market is not only expanding quantitatively but also becoming more liquid and engaged.

Particularly telling is the gap between the growth in the number of holders (+124%) and the growth in active addresses (+34.6%). This suggests that a significant portion of new participants is taking a wait-and-see approach, accumulating assets, while existing players are ramping up trading activity. Such behavior is typical of the early stages of a maturing market, when investors diversify portfolios but are not yet ready for aggressive speculation.

My analysis shows that the current growth is largely fueled by interest in tokenized treasury bonds and shares of major technology companies. However, the main driver is the lowering of entry barriers and increased transparency of settlements on the blockchain. In the coming quarters, we will likely see platform consolidation and intensified competition for liquidity, which will ultimately lead to further spread compression and volume growth.

From my perspective, the current growth rates are undervalued by the market. If the momentum persists, by the end of the year we could see the distributed value double to $5 billion, making tokenized stocks one of the fastest-growing segments of digital assets.
