The ecosystem of L2 solutions continues to actively develop, and the Base network is taking another step in supporting promising developers. The project team has announced the start of applications for the fourth cohort of its accelerator program, Base Batches. This time, ten startups will be selected, each receiving financial support of $100,000 from the Base Ecosystem Fund. Thus, the total investment volume under the new intake will amount to $1 million.
During the selection process, special attention will be paid to projects operating in areas such as AI agents, payment solutions, trading platforms, and financing tools. This is a clear signal to the market: Base is betting on high-tech and financially oriented niches that today demonstrate the greatest growth potential in the crypto industry.
The program is designed for eight weeks of intensive work. The start is scheduled for September, with completion planned for November. Participants can expect not only funding but also mentorship support, access to network infrastructure, and the opportunity to integrate with existing ecosystem products.
This is not the first such initiative from Base, which confirms the team's systematic approach to nurturing young talent. Previous cohorts have shown that such programs contribute not only to the emergence of new dApps but also to strengthening the entire network by attracting quality developers and users.
My view: The focus on AI agents and payments looks particularly timely. These segments sit at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized technologies, and they are likely to become the drivers of the next wave of adoption. For startups, this is a rare opportunity to gain not only capital but also a strategic advantage in a rapidly growing ecosystem.
