The crypto market continues its confident upward trend. Over the past 24 hours, bitcoin (BTC) consolidated near the $77,050 mark, showing growth of 1.10% in 24 hours and an impressive +21.41% over the week. The trading range was $75,600–$77,800, indicating high volatility, but buyers are maintaining the initiative.
Ether (ETH) is also showing strength, trading around $2,447. The asset grew by 2.90% in a day and by 28.87% over the week. Overnight trading occurred in the $2,360–$2,480 corridor, confirming steady demand at the support level.
Leaders and laggards among altcoins
In the top 25 by market capitalization, the best performance was shown by Zcash (ZEC) with a gain of 6.51%, Sui (SUI) at 4.56%, and Hedera (HBAR) at 4.41%. Meanwhile, Monero (XMR) fell by 3.03%, and UNUS SED LEO (LEO) lost 1.85%.
In the top 100, Ethena (ENA) stands out, surging by 99.54% over the week. Stacks (STX) and Official Trump (TRUMP) rose by 93.91% and 76.33%, respectively. The laggard was JUST (JST), which lost 7.59% over seven days.
Flows into spot ETFs remain positive: over the week, bitcoin funds attracted about $1.92 billion, Ethereum products — $697.18 million, XRP — $39.78 million, Solana — $28.34 million. A slight outflow was recorded only for BNB funds — about $262,000.
Over the past day, $300.38 million in positions were liquidated: $133.23 million came from longs and $167.16 million from shorts. The largest liquidation order was $6.86 million on the ETHUSDT pair on Binance. This indicates that the market continues to "shake out" excessive leverage.
Institutional news: Fasset, Tether, and Ledger security
Stablecoin neobank Fasset raised $68 million in a round led by Japan's SBI Group, reaching a valuation of $1 billion. In total, the company has raised $119 million since the start of the year. According to management, Fasset processes over $40 billion in transactions annually across 125 countries, and revenue has grown sixfold compared to last year.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that USDT usage is actively growing in developing economies. He highlighted Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, and Turkey, where the stablecoin is used for domestic and cross-border trade, as a digital dollar and a store of value amid the devaluation of local currencies. He cited import and export settlements in Venezuela, commercial transactions in Bolivia, P2P trading in Argentina, and inflation protection in Turkey as examples.
Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet confirmed that a vulnerability in signing scenarios within the Ethereum app was fixed two weeks ago. The issue was discovered by the Ledger Donjon team, and users with up-to-date firmware and apps are protected. The smart contract security team disclosed details only after the patch was released.
My take: The growth of USDT in developing countries is not just statistics but a signal of the formation of a parallel financial system. Combined with record ETF inflows and a confident bitcoin rally, the market is clearly preparing for a new phase of institutional expansion. However, the high share of shorts in liquidations serves as a reminder: corrections are inevitable, and risk management remains critically important.
