The American spot bitcoin ETF market is showing impressive momentum: for eight consecutive trading sessions, there has been a steady net capital inflow. During this period, the total volume of inflows reached $2.8 billion, indicating sustained high institutional demand for digital gold.
BlackRock's Dominance
The main growth driver remains BlackRock's IBIT fund, which attracted $2.02 billion of the total volume — that is more than 72% of all inflows over the specified period. Such concentration of capital in a single instrument underscores the trust of major players in a management company with a reputation as a global leader.
On August 26, the daily inflow was recorded at $232 million, confirming the stability of the trend rather than one-off spikes in activity. Since the launch of these financial products, total investments in spot bitcoin ETFs have reached an impressive milestone of $54.7 billion.
Analysis and Outlook
Such dynamics point to a fundamental shift in how institutional investors perceive bitcoin. Regulated ETF instruments are becoming a bridge between traditional finance and crypto assets, lowering barriers to entry for large capital.
It is important to note that the current inflow is occurring against a backdrop of a relatively stable BTC price, which indicates a long-term accumulation strategy rather than speculative buying. If the pace continues, we may see further strengthening of bitcoin's position as a macro asset capable of competing with traditional stores of value.
My professional view: The resilience of ETF inflows, especially amid market consolidation, is a strong bullish signal. However, investors should watch for a possible correction, as excessive optimism sometimes precedes short-term reversals. Nevertheless, structural demand from institutions is likely to persist in the medium term.
