Corporate giant Strategy continues to demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to bitcoin, once again confirming its status as one of the largest institutional holders of the first cryptocurrency. During the week from August 24 to 30, the company added 4,603 BTC to its portfolio, spending $369.7 million on this. The average purchase price was $80,318 per coin—a level that indicates management's confidence in the asset's long-term potential, despite current market volatility.

Now Strategy's total reserves have reached an impressive mark of 845,050 BTC. This is not just a number, but a strategic arsenal that, at current market quotes, is valued at tens of billions of dollars. Notably, the company continues to operate on a proven scheme, financing purchases through the issuance of MSTR shares. During the reporting period, the sale of securities brought in $602.8 million in net proceeds, which more than covered the bitcoin expenses.

However, the financial engineering did not stop there. In parallel, Strategy directed $151.8 million toward the buyback of STRC preferred shares, indicating a fine-tuning of its capital structure. This approach allows the company to balance between aggressive BTC accumulation and maintaining the attractiveness of its instruments for investors. The balance sheet also retains solid liquidity cushions: USD Reserve and USD Cash volumes stand at $5.10 billion and $1.61 billion, respectively.

From my expert point of view, such actions are a classic example of "averaging down" during a correction. Buying at $80,318 after recent peaks suggests that management views current prices as an attractive entry point. However, it is worth remembering: such a high concentration of assets in a single cryptocurrency makes the company extremely sensitive to market cycles. This is a high-stakes game where the payoff can be colossal, but the risks also demand nerves of steel from shareholders.
