Brian Armstrong: Bitcoin likely found a 'bottom' around the $60,000 mark
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has suggested that Bitcoin has likely formed a local bottom around $60,000. At the same time, he emphasized that there can be no 100% certainty — the market remains volatile, and any forecasts carry risk.
Armstrong confirmed that he maintains a long position in the leading cryptocurrency. According to him, Bitcoin is increasingly solidifying its status as "new digital gold" — an asset capable of serving as a reliable store of value over the long term. He expects BTC prices to be significantly higher than current levels by 2030, linking this forecast to the historical four-year halving cycle.
Indeed, each halving in the past has led to a significant increase in Bitcoin's price within 12–18 months after the event. However, it is important to remember that cycles become less pronounced as the market matures and institutional participation grows. Nevertheless, Armstrong's statement is a strong signal for retail investors: one of the most influential players in the industry still believes in the asset's long-term potential.
Expert opinion: The $60,000 level could indeed become psychological and technical support, especially if the macroeconomic situation stabilizes. However, relying solely on a CEO's statements is not enough. Investors should also consider factors such as the dynamics of inflows into spot ETFs, miner activity, and global liquidity. Without comprehensive analysis, any "bottom" may turn out to be merely a temporary pause.
