China launches mass production of silicon-28: a breakthrough for quantum computing

The China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) has officially announced the start of industrial production of silicon-28, an isotope critical for creating stable quantum processors. The declared isotopic purity of the material exceeds 99.99%, making it the country's first product of this level produced on an industrial scale.
Why is silicon-28 important for the crypto industry?
Silicon-28 is not just a raw material for microelectronics. In silicon-based quantum computers, this isotope reduces magnetic interference that destroys the quantum states of qubits.
