Armstrong from Coinbase: Bitcoin's "bottom" could be around $60,000
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has suggested that Bitcoin has likely already reached a local "bottom" near the $60,000 mark. However, as an experienced analyst emphasizes, there is no complete certainty yet — the market remains extremely volatile, and any movement could be adjusted by macroeconomic factors.
Armstrong confirmed that he maintains a long position on the asset, which is quite logical for the head of one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges. He continues to characterize Bitcoin as "new digital gold," emphasizing its long-term potential. According to his estimates, the value of the first cryptocurrency could significantly increase by 2030, which he links to the historical four-year halving cycle.
It is worth noting that the current level of $60,000 could indeed become psychological support, especially amid expectations of the next block reward reduction. However, from my perspective, calling this level the definitive "bottom" is premature. The market is currently in a consolidation phase, and any sharp change in the macroeconomic environment — whether it be a tightening of Fed policy or geopolitical shocks — could shift this threshold lower. Investors should be prepared for scenarios where Bitcoin may test even lower levels before a new growth cycle begins.
