XRP to $1000: Ambitious Forecast from Former Goldman Sachs Analyst and Market Analysis

On Monday, the XRP exchange rate demonstrated a confident increase of 9.3%, reaching a local high of $1.29. This momentum was supported by an active phase of coin accumulation by large holders, as well as renewed discussion of a long-term forecast suggesting the asset could soar to $1000. The current rise occurs against a backdrop of a general revival in the altcoin market and a decrease in geopolitical tensions.

A key catalyst for the positive dynamics was the easing of geopolitical risks, which prompted investors to return to risky assets. Bitcoin reacted by rising to $65,300, gold added about 2%, while commodity markets, on the contrary, showed a decline — oil fell by more than 3%. XRP also organically fit into this optimistic trend, consolidating around $1.22 with a daily gain of 3.25%.

Whales continue to accumulate XRP

In addition to macroeconomic factors, large investors provide powerful support to the coin. According to blockchain data, wallets with a balance of over 1 million XRP hold 74.1% of the total market supply. Over the past six months, these "whales" have increased their holdings by approximately 1.53 billion tokens. As analysts note, when a positive macroeconomic backdrop combines with steady accumulation by major players, price rebounds occur particularly quickly and confidently.

Forecast of $1000 by 2030: Realities and Expectations

Amid this optimism, a bold forecast from Dom Kwok, co-founder of the educational app EasyA and a former Goldman Sachs analyst, has resurfaced. He sets a long-term target for XRP of $1000 by 2030. His calculation is based on expected scenarios of mass adoption and an influx of new users into the crypto ecosystem.

The expert compares the current evolution of the blockchain industry to the era of the internet's inception. In his view, the internet only became truly mass-market after the emergence of simple and useful services. Similarly, projects launched on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) create value directly for the XRP token itself, rather than accumulating it within third-party overlays. Kwok emphasizes that XRP has far more utility than Bitcoin, making it more attractive to new users.

In his calculations, he also relies on data regarding cryptocurrency penetration. Currently, only 7% of the world's population owns them. Kwok is confident that when the rest catch up, newcomers will likely ignore expensive assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum, opting instead for the more affordable XRP.

My expert assessment: The forecast of $1000 looks extremely ambitious, given that its realization would require an influx of trillions of dollars in market capitalization. However, the very trend of XRP accumulation by major players and the development of the XRPL ecosystem are strong fundamental signals. Growth to $1000 is only possible with an unprecedented level of technology adoption in international finance. In the short term, a more realistic target appears to be overcoming the resistance zone of $1.50-1.60, which would serve as an important technical signal for further movement.
