XRP on the way to $1,000? Rally analysis and long-term prospects from Cryptalist
On Monday, the XRP exchange rate showed a confident increase of 9.3%, reaching a local high of $1.29. This momentum was supported by several fundamental factors, including active accumulation of the coin by large holders and a general revival in the altcoin market. Against the backdrop of easing geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran, investors once again turned their attention to risk assets, creating a favorable environment for digital currencies.
Key Growth Drivers
Data from the analytical platform Santiment indicates that market sentiment around XRP has fallen to lows not seen since October 2025. However, as history shows, powerful price impulses often emerge precisely in moments of total pessimism. Most of XRP's major surges occurred precisely when retail investors lost interest in it. We are now witnessing a classic picture: while the crowd doubts, "smart money" acts.
The most important trigger for the trend reversal was the reduction in geopolitical risks. As a result, Bitcoin rose to approximately $65,300, gold gained about 2%, while oil, on the contrary, lost more than 3%. A wave of optimism also swept over altcoins: XRP stabilized around $1.22, showing a daily increase of 3.25%. However, the current growth is just the tip of the iceberg.
Institutional Accumulation: A Bullish Signal
In addition to macroeconomic factors, XRP is receiving strong support from its largest holders. According to blockchain data, wallets with a balance of over 1 million XRP currently hold 74.1% of the total market supply. Over the past six months, large players have increased their holdings by approximately 1.53 billion tokens. This indicates high confidence among institutions in the long-term potential of the asset, despite recent price declines.
Santiment experts note that traders are closely watching the growth in the number of Ripple's partners in the field of institutional payments and the development of tokenization on the XRP Ledger. Both of these areas support the long-term confidence of holders, and when combined with a positive macro environment, sharp rebounds occur quickly.
Forecast of $1,000: Reality or Fantasy?
Against this backdrop, discussion has reignited regarding the long-standing forecast that XRP could rise to $1,000 by 2030. This scenario is based on expectations of mass adoption and an influx of new crypto users. Proponents of this idea compare the current evolution of the blockchain industry to the era of the internet's inception: the world wide web only became truly mainstream after the emergence of simple and useful services.
The specificity of the crypto sphere lies in the mechanism of capital distribution. Projects launched on the XRPL create value directly for the XRP coin itself, rather than accumulating it within third-party add-ons, as often happens with Ethereum. When killer applications emerge, new use cases will come to the blockchain and, ultimately, be reflected in the token itself. Bitcoin has virtually no useful functions, while XRP has many.
The calculations also take into account the current low penetration rate: only 7% of the world's population owns cryptocurrencies. According to estimates, when the rest catch up, newcomers will ignore expensive assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Their choice will fall on XRP as a more accessible and functional tool.
Cryptalist Analysis: The scenario of growth to $1,000 implies an influx of trillions of dollars into the token, which is unlikely in the short term without an unprecedented level of adoption and global use of the XRP Ledger in international finance. However, the current accumulation by whales and the improvement in the macro environment create a solid foundation for movement towards more realistic targets in the range of $5–$10 within the current bull cycle.
