XRP to $1,000? Analysis of the bullish scenario and fundamental growth factors
On Monday, the XRP exchange rate showed a confident increase of 9.3%, reaching a local high of around $1.29. This momentum was supported by several key factors, including active accumulation of the coin by large holders and renewed interest in altcoins amid easing geopolitical tensions. As a result, investors once again turned their attention to risky assets, triggering a wave of buying.
Sentiment in the XRP market, according to analytical platforms, has fallen to lows not seen since October 2025. However, historically, it is precisely during moments of total pessimism that powerful price impulses often emerge. The current rise coincided with a general revival in the altcoin market, where XRP maintains a confident upward trend. At the time of writing, the coin has settled above $1.22, showing a daily gain of more than 3%.
Large holders continue to accumulate XRP
In addition to macroeconomic factors, XRP is receiving strong support from the actions of the largest holders. According to blockchain data, wallets with a balance of over 1 million XRP now hold 74.1% of the total market supply. Over the past six months, these "whales" have increased their holdings by approximately 1.53 billion tokens. This is a clear signal of long-term confidence, despite recent price declines. When a positive macroeconomic environment combines with steady accumulation by institutional players, sharp rebounds become only a matter of time.
Forecast of $1,000: reality or fantasy?
Against this backdrop, former Goldman Sachs analyst and current co-founder of the educational app EasyA, Dom Kwok, named a long-term target for XRP of $1,000 by 2030. His forecast is based on expected use cases and an influx of new users into the crypto ecosystem. He compares the current evolution of the blockchain industry to the era of the internet's birth: the internet truly became mainstream only after the emergence of simple and useful services. The specific nature of the crypto sphere, in his opinion, lies in the mechanism of capital distribution. Projects launched on the XRP Ledger create value directly for the XRP coin itself, rather than accumulating it within third-party overlays.
Kwok also highlights the extremely low penetration rate of cryptocurrencies: currently, only 7% of the world's population owns them. In his estimation, when the rest catch up, they will ignore assets with a high unit price. Newcomers may be put off by the high prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum, and XRP will appear much more accessible to them. "They won't buy Bitcoin or Ethereum — the choice will fall on XRP," the expert believes.
However, it is worth soberly assessing the scale. Moving from $1.22 to $1,000 would require growth of approximately 81,867%. Over the next four years, this would require attracting trillions of dollars into the token, pushing XRP's market capitalization above $60 trillion. Such a leap is only possible with an unprecedented level of adoption, massive growth in the crypto market, and widespread use of the XRP Ledger in international financial and commercial settlements.
My expert opinion: The figure of $1,000 looks more like an inspiring benchmark than a realistic target in the current market cycle. However, fundamental factors — growing institutional interest, the development of the XRPL ecosystem, and the potential for mass adoption — indeed create a solid foundation for XRP's long-term growth. The key driver will not be speculative hype, but the real integration of the technology into the global financial infrastructure.
