XRP to $1000? Analysis of the Ambitious Forecast by a Former Goldman Sachs Analyst
Last week, XRP showed confident growth, gaining 9.3% and reaching a local high of $1.29. The driving force was not only the overall optimism in the altcoin market but also increased activity from large holders, as well as renewed discussions about the coin's long-term potential, including a scenario of growth to $1,000.
The current rise in XRP occurs against a backdrop of easing geopolitical tensions, which has prompted investors to return to risk assets. Bitcoin responded by rising to $65,300, gold gained about 2%, while oil, on the contrary, lost more than 3%. In this wave of optimism, XRP appears to be one of the leaders, consolidating around $1.22 and showing a daily increase of 3.25%.
Whales Accumulating: A Fundamental Signal
Analysis of on-chain data shows that the confidence of the largest players in XRP is only strengthening. Wallets with a balance of over 1 million coins now hold 74.1% of the total market supply. Over the past six months, these addresses have increased their holdings by approximately 1.53 billion tokens. Historically, the most powerful price impulses form precisely during moments of maximum pessimism among retail investors and against the backdrop of whale accumulation.
Forecast of $1,000 by 2030: Reality or Fantasy?
Dom Kwok, co-founder of the educational app EasyA and former Goldman Sachs analyst, named a long-term target for XRP of $1,000 by 2030. His thesis is based on the belief that the blockchain industry is currently at a stage similar to the early internet: mass adoption will begin with the emergence of simple and useful services. In his view, unlike Bitcoin, XRP has a real utility function, and it is projects on the XRP Ledger that will create value for the token itself, rather than for third-party overlays.
Kwok also highlights the current level of cryptocurrency penetration: only 7% of the world's population owns digital assets. He predicts that new users will avoid buying Bitcoin or Ethereum due to their high price and will choose the more affordable XRP. However, it is worth objectively assessing the scale: growth from $1.22 to $1,000 would require attracting trillions of dollars and increasing XRP's market capitalization to $60 trillion. Such a scenario is only possible with an unprecedented level of institutional adoption and global use of the XRP Ledger in international settlements.
My professional opinion: The $1,000 forecast is more of an inspiring concept than a practical trading guide. Fundamental factors (growing institutional interest, tokenization of assets on XRPL) are indeed working in XRP's favor, but achieving such heights would require not only mass adoption but also a radical change in the global financial infrastructure. At this point, targets in the range of $5–10 within the current bull cycle appear more realistic, provided the positive macroeconomic backdrop is maintained.
