OVHcloud integrates Quobly's quantum computer into its cloud platform: a breakthrough in computing scalability

French cloud giant OVHcloud has announced a strategic expansion of its Quantum Platform. By the end of 2026, Alloy Pioneer — the first commercially available quantum computer from startup Quobly, built on silicon spin qubits — will be available in the company's sovereign cloud. This event marks an important step in the integration of quantum technologies into traditional cloud infrastructure.

Technological Foundation: Industrial Standard

The key advantage of Quobly's solution lies in its manufacturing base. The technology uses 300mm FD-SOI wafers — an industrial standard in semiconductor manufacturing that has been refined for decades in traditional microelectronics. This approach radically differs from the exotic methods used by competitors (e.g., superconducting circuits or ion traps) and offers hope for rapid scaling of quantum computing without the need to build fundamentally new factories.

From a compatibility standpoint, Alloy Pioneer does not require a complete overhaul of computing infrastructure. It is designed to seamlessly integrate into existing OVHcloud data centers, functioning as a specialized accelerator for certain classes of tasks — from cryptography to optimizing complex logistics chains. For the market, this means lowering the barrier to entry into quantum computing for enterprise clients.
