Acrab raises $350 million to build infrastructure for agentic AI: a new era of computing

Singapore-based startup Acrab has announced raising over $350 million in total funding. These funds will be directed toward building a next-generation computing infrastructure focused exclusively on agentic artificial intelligence systems. For the crypto industry, this is a signal: demand for decentralized and high-performance computing resources continues to grow, and Acrab intends to secure a key position in this segment.

The company, founded in 2024, has already established itself as a full-cycle developer of AI solutions. Acrab's portfolio includes proprietary AI chips, technologies for local execution of large language models (LLMs), operating systems, multimodal interfaces, and agent management systems. The first platform, named GΞLIX, is designed for local LLM processing in agentic AI tasks. According to the team, the solution has already been tested in real-world conditions and is at the stage of preparation for industrial deployment and mass production.

The $350 million raised will be used for platform development, deepening research in computing systems, expanding the partner network, and entering international markets. This is a significant amount even by the standards of the crypto and AI sectors, underscoring the seriousness of Acrab's intentions.

My expert opinion: The $350 million investment is not just capital but a strategic bet on a future where agentic AI becomes an integral part of decentralized ecosystems. For the crypto market, such projects serve as a bridge between blockchain infrastructure and real-world computing tasks. If Acrab succeeds in scaling GΞLIX to industrial volumes, we will see a new class of dApps operating on local AI agents, fundamentally reshaping the landscape of DeFi and Web3.
