Singapore-based company Acrab, founded in 2024, has announced raising over $350 million in total funding. These funds will be directed toward building a new generation of computing infrastructure focused exclusively on agentic AI systems. This involves a full-cycle platform that includes the development of specialized AI chips, local deployment of large language models (LLMs), operating systems, multimodal interfaces, and AI agent management technologies.

Key Investment Areas

The capital raised will go into four strategic areas: development of the GΞLIX platform, in-depth research into computing systems, expansion of the partner network, and entry into international markets. The first GΞLIX platform has already been tested in real-world conditions and, according to the team, is moving toward its first industrial deployment and mass production. This solution is designed for local LLM deployment in agentic AI tasks, which is critical for ensuring data privacy and reducing latency.

Agentic AI is a field where algorithms not only respond to queries but autonomously perform complex multi-step tasks—from managing crypto portfolios to coordinating decentralized financial operations. It is for such scenarios that Acrab is building infrastructure intended to bridge computing power and real-world business processes.

Expert opinion: Raising $350 million for a startup that is only a year old indicates high investor confidence in the agentic AI segment. However, the key challenge for Acrab is not just to create chips and software, but also to ensure compatibility with existing crypto and decentralized ecosystems. If the GΞLIX platform can truly enable local LLM deployment without loss of performance, it could be a breakthrough for DeFi applications requiring low latency and high autonomy.
