Singapore-based startup Acrab has announced raising over $350 million in total funding to develop computing infrastructure for agentic AI systems. These funds will be directed toward building a platform, conducting research in computing architectures, expanding its partner network, and entering global markets.

Founded in 2024, Acrab positions itself as a developer of full-stack computing architecture. The company's portfolio includes AI chips, solutions for local deployment of large language models (LLMs), operating systems, multimodal interfaces, and AI agent management technologies. Its first platform, named GΞLIX, has already been tested in real-world conditions and is designed for local LLM deployment in agentic AI tasks. According to the team, the solution is moving toward its first industrial implementation and mass production.

Analytical commentary: Raising such a significant amount of funding in such a short period indicates strong investor confidence in the concept of agentic AI and the need for specialized infrastructure to deploy it. However, the key challenge for Acrab will be competing with established giants in AI hardware, such as NVIDIA. Success will depend on the company's ability to offer not just an alternative, but a fundamentally more efficient and cost-effective solution for specific use cases of agentic systems.
