Singapore startup Acrab has raised $350 million to build a computing platform for agentic AI.

Singapore-based company Acrab, specializing in developing computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence agent systems, has announced raising over $350 million in total funding. These funds will be directed toward creating a comprehensive platform, conducting research in computing architectures, expanding its partner network, and entering global markets.

Founded in 2024, Acrab has set itself the ambitious goal of building a full-cycle computing ecosystem. This includes its own AI chips, solutions for local deployment of large language models (LLMs), operating systems, multimodal interfaces, and AI agent management technologies. The company's key product is the GΞLIX platform, which has already been tested in real-world conditions and is currently in the preparation stage for its first industrial deployment and mass production.

Why is this important for the crypto industry?

The development of agentic AI is directly linked to decentralized computing and blockchain infrastructure. The ability to run complex AI models locally without relying on centralized cloud providers opens up new opportunities for DeFi protocols, smart contracts, and decentralized applications that require autonomous decision-making. Acrab is essentially building a bridge between high-performance computing and distributed systems, which could serve as a catalyst for the emergence of a new class of decentralized AI agents.

Expert opinion: Raising $350 million at such an early stage is a powerful signal to the market. If Acrab can truly integrate its computing architecture with blockchain networks, we will witness the emergence of a fundamentally new paradigm in crypto-AI. However, the key question is whether the team can scale chip production and ensure compatibility with existing protocols. In any case, this project deserves close attention.
