Atom Computing and Nu Quantum join forces to scale quantum systems through photonic networks

Quantum computing takes another step toward practical implementation. Atom Computing and Nu Quantum have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at scaling quantum computers based on neutral atoms. As part of the partnership, the companies intend to integrate Atom Computing systems with dynamically reconfigurable photonic networking equipment from Nu Quantum.

Focus on photonic switches and distributed architectures

The research will primarily focus on several key areas: integrated photonic switches, qubit-photon entanglement technologies, and modeling of distributed fault-tolerant architectures. The ultimate goal is to combine multiple quantum processors into modular systems capable of performing computations at a practical scale.
