Singapore-based startup Acrab has completed raising a total of over $350 million in funding. These funds will be directed toward building specialized computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence agent systems. The company plans to invest the capital in developing its own platform, conducting in-depth research into computing architectures, expanding its network of strategic partnerships, and entering international markets.
Founded in 2024, Acrab positions itself as a developer of full-cycle computing architecture. Its solution portfolio includes: proprietary AI chips, systems for local deployment of large language models (LLMs), operating systems, multimodal interfaces, and AI agent management technologies. The flagship platform GΞLIX has already been tested in real-world conditions and, according to the team, is on the verge of its first industrial deployment and mass production.
My perspective: This funding round is a clear signal that the market is shifting from simply using cloud-based LLMs to building autonomous, decentralized computing ecosystems. Given that Acrab is a relatively young player, raising $350 million at such an early stage indicates strong investor confidence in their technology and business model. If GΞLIX can indeed enable local deployment of agent-based AI systems with performance comparable to cloud solutions, it could pose a serious challenge to traditional cloud computing providers.
