Acrab has raised $350 million to build infrastructure for agentic AI.

Singapore-based startup Acrab has closed a funding round worth over $350 million, directing the funds toward building a next-generation computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence agent systems. This is one of the largest investments in the AI hardware sector in Southeast Asia, highlighting the growing demand for specialized solutions for autonomous AI agents.

Key Investment Areas

The capital raised will go toward developing its own platform, in-depth research in computing architectures, expanding strategic partnerships, and entering international markets. Founded in 2024, Acrab positions itself as a full-cycle developer, from creating AI chips to operating systems and multimodal interfaces.

GΞLIX Platform: From Testing to Industrial Deployment

The startup's flagship product is the GΞLIX platform, designed for local deployment of large language models (LLMs) in agent AI tasks. According to the company, the solution has already been tested in real-world conditions and is currently in the preparation phase for its first industrial deployment and mass production. This means Acrab intends not just to create software, but to deliver ready-made hardware-software complexes capable of operating without a constant cloud connection.

Expert Analysis

From a market dynamics perspective, raising $350 million at such an early stage (just a year after founding) indicates strong investor confidence in the "chip+software" model for agent AI. However, the main risk is intense competition from giants like NVIDIA and AMD, as well as the need for rapid production scaling. If Acrab manages to bring GΞLIX to market within the next 12-18 months, it could shift the balance of power in the edge computing segment for AI agents.
