Acrab raised $350 million to build infrastructure for agentic AI — a breakthrough in computing architecture

Singapore-based startup Acrab has completed a funding round of over $350 million, raised to develop high-performance computing infrastructure focused on agentic AI systems. These funds will be directed toward building its own platform, deepening research in computing architectures, expanding its partner network, and entering global markets.

Founded in 2024, Acrab positions itself as a developer of a comprehensive full-cycle computing ecosystem. The company's portfolio includes AI chips, solutions for local deployment of large language models (LLMs), operating systems, multimodal interfaces, and AI agent management technologies. The startup's key product is the GΞLIX platform, designed for local execution of LLMs in agentic AI tasks. According to the team, the solution has already been validated in real-world scenarios and is at the stage of transitioning to its first industrial deployment and mass production.

Agentic AI is one of the fastest-growing areas in the crypto and blockchain industry. Such systems require enormous computing power and low latency, making traditional cloud solutions expensive and inefficient. Acrab aims to offer an alternative by integrating hardware and software into a unified ecosystem capable of operating locally. This is especially critical for decentralized applications and smart contracts, where speed and privacy are paramount.

My analysis: raising $350 million for a startup less than a year old indicates high investor confidence in the concept of agentic AI combined with blockchain infrastructure. However, the key challenge for Acrab will be not only scaling chip production but also integrating with existing crypto ecosystems. If the team manages to create a truly efficient local solution, it could act as a catalyst for a new wave of development in decentralized computing.
