Ethereum Foundation loses another top manager: co-executive director steps down

Xiao-Wei Wang, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, has officially left her post and also stepped down from the foundation's board. This decision was made after the completion of her sabbatical. In her statement, Wang emphasized that her departure is related to a reassessment of personal priorities and life goals.
Xiao-Wei Wang's departure is the second significant personnel loss for the Ethereum Foundation in recent months. In February of this year, Tomasz Stańczak, who also held the position of co-executive director, declined a similar role. In response to these changes, Bastian Aue was appointed as interim co-executive director, who will now oversee the organization's operational activities.
From my perspective, these personnel changes are not critical for the long-term stability of Ethereum, but they signal internal turbulence within the foundation's leadership. The departure of two key figures within a short period may indicate the need for a deeper restructuring of the management model. The Ethereum Foundation has historically been known for its decentralized structure, but such departures highlight that even in the crypto industry, the human factor remains decisive. Investors and the community should closely monitor the upcoming appointments: who fills these positions will determine whether the foundation maintains its current development strategy or shifts toward more aggressive changes.
